As the days get longer and colder, spice up your wardrobe to add a bit of bright back into the day.

This outfit is a cute, cozy and comfy outfit perfect for a dreary winter day. Simple yet sophisticated and super easy to assemble. The two key pieces to this outfit are the sweater and the necklace.

The sweater makes a bold statement with the dark colored Aztec print. I love things like these because they are pretty and you can still snuggle up in the sleeves and stay warm. I've seen sweaters like this everywhere, different colors and lengths, shapes and sizes, and they can all be thrown together with some other key pieces to make a perfect outfit.

When you're out shopping and see a sweater like this PICK IT UP! I promise you'll always have places to wear it to and it can be paired with so many other pieces. This is a great outfit to mix things up from the traditional jeans and leggings in the winter. You can even wear a pair of tights to match one of the colors in the sweater if you feel like you'll be cold. Add the necklace and a pair of boots or flats and you have a fashionable, yet snuggle outfit to conquer the cold weather.

A great piece to have this fall and winter is a twill/cargo jacket.

This one piece can be so versatile and can be paired with many different outfits. You can throw it over a plain t-shirt on your way out of the house or you can dress it up with some jewelry and a dress underneath.

Just like a jean jacket in summer, a cargo jacket can spice up your outfits on a day to day basis. I have an army green colored one which matches with anything black or anything in the brown color family. Since they're not the warmest jacket, you can layer sweaters, long sleeve tees or hoodies underneath to keep you warm and stylish. This will give you an edgier, out of the ordinary look and you can make a statement every time you wear it by dressing it so many different ways.

Go out and rock your cargo jacket the right way.

A fun, easy and inexpensive way to organize your jewelry. A great rainy Sunday project!

Everyone knows that its storing your jewelry is never a neat situation. Your necklaces get tangled, all your bangles get mis-matched and you can never find the other earring. This picture right here can be the perfect solution for you.

To store your hanging earrings, look for a large, cheap frame. Take the glass and backing out, so you just have the outer frame, which you can now make your own. Spray paint it to match your room, modge podge magazine clippings, or add ribbons and lace to decorate it. Then add some chicken wire to the back of the frame so that you have the perfect canvas to hang your earrings. Once this is done, hang your earrings with their matches on the wire and now you have a pretty exposed earing storage that looks store bought!

To hang your necklaces tangle free, grab some cheap white hooks that screw into the wall. Then go to a craft store, like Michael's, and buy either a white wooden dowel, or just a wooden dowel which you can spray paint any color you want. Make sure you bring one of the hooks with you to the store so you can make sure the dowel fits. Now screw the hooks into the wall at the appropriate width, leaving a little bit (maybe an inch or 2) hanging off the side from each hook. This will ensure your the rod won't fall off easily. Now the last step is to add your necklaces! Like the picture, you can space out the rods for the necklaces, making one for long necklaces and one for short. Hang your necklaces up and you will never have to deal with a tangled mess while your rushing to get ready again!

For bracelets I would suggest to do the same method for hanging as the necklaces. Bracelets, if put into storage containers, can looks a little messy, but the rod gets rid of that problem. For studs, although they don't show it here, I use a ring holder. One that is the rows of foam with the spaces in the middle to fit rings. This is a perfect place for your studs. You can keep them with their match, they stay neat and they're easily accessible.

This is a super cute, and cheap way to store all of your jewelry. This would look great over a low dresser and adds décor to the room. Who knew your cluttered jewelry could actually become wall art?! Hope this helps solve your lost earrings and tangled necklaces problems from this day forward!

If you're still looking for a Halloween costume for you and your boy, here is one everyone will love!

I did this last year and it looked adorable. The most time consuming part of this whole costume is surprisingly the mans part. Sewing that pillow took me a good 4 hours, but now I have it for many more Halloweens to come.

Girls, you of course want to look like a super-cute tooth fairy, so you will need everything pink, white and sparkly! I think what she did here looks best, but you can wear a pink tutu or a pink shirt or whatever you choose, the possibilities are endless! You need a top, either a tank, a sweater, a long-sleeved shirt, etc, just keep it simple. Then, you will need a tutu, stockings, a tiara, wings, a wand and some shoes. I wore a cute sparkly pair of ballet flats, but that's probably the least important part of the costume anyways! Find a super sparkly, super girly wand and cut out a tooth from paper to attach to it. If you're not standing by your man the whole time, people may get a little confused as to what you may be, so the wand will make it clear. That's all for the girls! When I did this last year I wore a white long-sleeved tee, a white tutu, pink stockings, sparkly flats, a tiara, wings and a tooth wand, but style it however you want, because you'll look like a super stylin' fairy regardless.

For the guys, you may want to start making their costumes NOW because it takes a little while! Usually, our men don't know how to sew, so we get stuck with making the entire costume, but we have to make sacrifices if we want to look great, right? What you need for him is 4 pillows (2 long, 2 short), a white sheet, a sewing kit and a crown (optional). The men can really wear whatever they want underneath because the tooth takes up most of their body anyways. To make the tooth, sew the edges of one long pillow and one short pillow together, then cut the long pillow at the bottom so that it makes it look like the roots of the teeth, shown in the picture, and sew those cuts shut. It's easiest to do that by taking some of the stuffing out of the pillow, but make sure you don't take too much. Do this for the other 2 pillows as well and the attach them so they make a box. Last step is to sew the sheet onto all the pillows tightly and cut holes for the arms and head, so it covers all the seems and makes a perfect pearly white.

The link attached below explains the tooth making process step by step, I just gave you a little overview!

Go wow all the guests of your Halloween party by making your very own Tooth & Tooth Fairy costume!

Statement necklaces are a big thing this year, so make your own for cheap!

I found this DIY necklace tutorial on pinterest and am definitely going to try! All you need to make this super-cute DIY necklace is thin plastic tubing, q-tips, gold spray paint, crazy/hot glue and a ribbon or string to finish off the necklace.

To start making this, I would find roll of plastic tubing thin enough to fit about two rods from the q-tip inside, so they fit tightly and do not fall apart. Make sure you check this before you start making the necklace otherwise it may not work! Once you find the best sized plastic tubing, cut them into the desired link size and cut many of them depending on how long you want the necklace (and maybe a few extras, just incase you mess up).

After they're cut, spray paint all the pieces of tubing gold so that they appear completely covered. Make sure you let them dry enough because once they're made into the necklace, it will be hard to fix. While the links are drying, cut the q-tips in half and then cut off the cotton tip ends, so they are now little white sticks. These will be used to connect the links together into a circle.

Once the q-tips are cut and the links are dry, you can begin to construct your DIY necklace. Take the first piece plastic tubing and put a dot of glue on both of the open ends. Now insert 2 pieces of the cut q-tip into one end halfway, and attach the other end of tubing onto the remaining exposed q-tip. Now you should have your first link of your necklace. Continue this, while interlocking the loops, until you reach the desired length of your necklace.

To finish off this super cute project, add a ribbon to the last loops on either side of the chain to finalize the necklace. There are also many variations and you can go wherever you want from this point. Make it silver and gold, change the ribbons to match your outfit, make two and double layer them, the possibilities are endless!

Whether making this for yourself or giving it as a gift, it will look super chic, is rather cheap and you will get compliments wherever you go!

Who doesn't LOVE animal print?!

Well, you're in luck, because this Fall and Winter animal prints are very popular. My favorite animal print is, of course, cheetah. I think every one should own a cheetah button up, because it is extremely versatile and super cute. You can wear a top like this out to a business event, with dress pants and a blazer over it, or for a casual daily look paired with jeans and a blazer or a cardigan.

The look above is a perfect way to wear a cheetah top. Pair it with a black blazer with gold accents, a black belt with a subtle gold buckle and gold jewelry. Throw on a pair of jeans and black boots or flats and you have the perfect outfit. Of course, there can be many variations that work, but I always think that cheetah, black and gold look best together.

These prints make a statement but also make sure not to overdo it. I would suggest to only wear one piece of printed clothing at a time. Cheetah patterns are hard to match, and you don't want to ruin your outfit by clashing. If you're doing a bold shirt, finish off the outfit with simple accents. If you're doing cheetah print shoes, keep your outfit rather plain, so your shoes make the statement. And lastly, if you're feeling daring by wearing cheetah printed pants, keep both the jewelry and your top VERY simple. Sometimes prints can work together, like in my other post with a striped shirt and cheetah scarf, but these are few and far between, so just be mindful.

Make a statement this fall and be bold with your prints. You have a set of guidelines to make these prints work, now go make the world your runway.

Rain, rain, go away!

The rainy weather definitely dampens everyone's mood, but you can still look cute as the weather stays boring! These Hunter rain boots, among others, are the perfect pair of shoes for a rainy fall day.
I got my first pair of Black Hunter boots for Christmas last year and swear by them. They are a great addition to your wardrobe for this fall and winter.

You can dress these little guys up or down, but of course, we always want to dress them up, right?!
Since rainy days are usually chilly, I would suggest maybe jeans or leggings and an oversized sweater. Add a scarf or jewelry to finish off your fashionable rainy day attire.

As we approach the super cold days of winter, I would tell you, if you don't already have them, to invest in some fleece boot inserts. I have a bunch of different colors to mix and match, but a plain black pair will go with just about anything. These keep your toes warm if you're wearing your boots in the cold, and especially in the snow!

Cute DIY Boot socks!
To all the girls that love the boot socks but can't seem to find them anywhere, I have a solution for you!

I admit, I didn't come up with this, although I wish I did, but I found it on Pinterest and needed to tell everyone. What a great idea! Find cheap printed leggings that you like, cut off the bottom and wear them sticking out of your boots.

I seem to always see the perfect printed leggings for this, whether tribal, floral or striped at Marshalls. They're usually pretty cheap so these would be ideal to do this with. You don't want to cut up a nice pair of leggings you already have, so go out, grab some and start cutting!

When cutting, try to use a fabric scissor, they will give you the cleanest cut. You may have a little fraying at the end, depending on the material, so I would either fold that part under, or wear them so the clean seem sticks out of the boots and the rough seem is hidden inside. The length is really up to you but I would think that just above the knee of the leggings would work best. This gives you the versatility to either bunch them down to make them a little shorter, or stretch them up to make a more prominent look.

These would be a great addition to any outfit in the fall and winter, especially if they're paired with a plain oversized sweater, leggings and boots. Hope this helps, now go DIY it up!

Don't be sad that summer is over, you can still wear your maxis!

Ladies, I am here to fill you in on a fashion secret. Maxis work all year round! Of course specific colors may not work in every season, but they can be paired with so many different tops and shoes to make them seasonal. The three looks here are just some ideas, but the possibilities are endless, yay!

The first look on the left is a maxi dress with a jean jacket, a camel colored bag and flats. This outfit is PERFECT for the sunny, yet cool fall days, especially when its still too warm for boots. A jean jacket is, in my eyes, one of the best pieces of clothing to own, considering you can throw it on with almost anything and it still looks great!

The middle look is a simple grey maxi skirt, a white tee, a jean jacket, a scarf and matching flats. This is an outfit that can be worn in a little bit chillier weather. The simple grey on white is polished off perfectly with the matching shoes and scarf and a jean jacket. I am a super-fan of matching, so this one might be my favorite. Perfect for a casual day of running errands or for a quaint little dinner date with your loved one. One little helpful hint I will give is to replace the white tee underneath with a long sleeve tee if you want to stay warm. Such a perfect and versatile outfit!

The last look on the right is more of a dressy maxi look. Still perfect for the fall, the dark maroon maxi with the thick lace shirt and casual open blazer all work perfectly with one another. These darker tones are definitely more appropriate for the fall. The chiffon material dresses the whole thing up a bit more, so if you're looking for an outfit on a cool night, this should be your pick.

So don't fret when the cold weather comes around, maxis are here to save you from a fashion disaster! Remember all these looks are extremely easy to throw together and look great! The key when wearing a maxi in the fall is to make sure the colors go accordingly with the season, and don't over kill the top. A jean jacket, a cardigan or a blazer are always safe bets, otherwise you can go with a long sleeve tee and a scarf or even a sweater. Rock that maxi skirt this fall!

Cute, comfy & casual.

Who doesn't LOVE this outfit?! The perfect combination of comfy and cute. Vests are a perfect addition to a plain flannel shirt, and the monogram adds a nice touch to the black vest. If the flannel is long enough for leggings, throw on leggings and boots and you're ready to take on the day. If the flannel is on the shorter side and you don't know if it looks right with leggings, a dark pair of jeans will work just fine. With jeans you can wear a black riding boot or a cute little pair of black flats.

As icing on the cake, I would add simple, silver jewelry. Super cute outfit everyone will love! Hope this inspires many more cute fall looks and keeps the fashion world alive!

The perfect accessory for this fall is undoubtedly a cheetah scarf! This versatile accessory can be thrown on with almost every outfit to make it more than just your drab long sleeve tee. With a regular scarf or an infinity scarf you can get the job done!

The first look is a denim shirt layered with a beige sweater, and the perfect scarf hung long. To finish off the ideal look, the scarf is synched at the waist with a black tie belt. Throw on your favorite pair of pants and a cute pair of shoes and you have the perfect look for a warm fall day.

For the chillier days, throw on a plain tee, your cheetah scarf and a colored cardigan to add a pop. This mustard cardigan is super cute, but to change it up you can add a red cardigan like I do! Just add some jeans and a camel colored boot for a put together, casual yet classy look.

If you're feeling daring today, MIX IT UP and throw together a cheetah scarf and a striped top! From your closet, these two may seem like they clash, but when paired together right, they work wonders! My advice: Wear a subtle colored top like the picture, either navy, black, beige, etc. You want to make a statement but definitely don't want to clash. Mixing patterns can be a good thing, don't be scared and take a chance!
