As the days get longer and colder, spice up your wardrobe to add a bit of bright back into the day.
This outfit is a cute, cozy and comfy outfit perfect for a dreary winter day. Simple yet sophisticated and super easy to assemble. The two key pieces to this outfit are the sweater and the necklace.
The sweater makes a bold statement with the dark colored Aztec print. I love things like these because they are pretty and you can still snuggle up in the sleeves and stay warm. I've seen sweaters like this everywhere, different colors and lengths, shapes and sizes, and they can all be thrown together with some other key pieces to make a perfect outfit.
When you're out shopping and see a sweater like this PICK IT UP! I promise you'll always have places to wear it to and it can be paired with so many other pieces. This is a great outfit to mix things up from the traditional jeans and leggings in the winter. You can even wear a pair of tights to match one of the colors in the sweater if you feel like you'll be cold. Add the necklace and a pair of boots or flats and you have a fashionable, yet snuggle outfit to conquer the cold weather.

A great piece to have this fall and winter is a twill/cargo jacket.
This one piece can be so versatile and can be paired with many different outfits. You can throw it over a plain t-shirt on your way out of the house or you can dress it up with some jewelry and a dress underneath.
Just like a jean jacket in summer, a cargo jacket can spice up your outfits on a day to day basis. I have an army green colored one which matches with anything black or anything in the brown color family. Since they're not the warmest jacket, you can layer sweaters, long sleeve tees or hoodies underneath to keep you warm and stylish. This will give you an edgier, out of the ordinary look and you can make a statement every time you wear it by dressing it so many different ways.
Go out and rock your cargo jacket the right way.

Everyone knows that its storing your jewelry is never a neat situation. Your necklaces get tangled, all your bangles get mis-matched and you can never find the other earring. This picture right here can be the perfect solution for you.
To store your hanging earrings, look for a large, cheap frame. Take the glass and backing out, so you just have the outer frame, which you can now make your own. Spray paint it to match your room, modge podge magazine clippings, or add ribbons and lace to decorate it. Then add some chicken wire to the back of the frame so that you have the perfect canvas to hang your earrings. Once this is done, hang your earrings with their matches on the wire and now you have a pretty exposed earing storage that looks store bought!
To hang your necklaces tangle free, grab some cheap white hooks that screw into the wall. Then go to a craft store, like Michael's, and buy either a white wooden dowel, or just a wooden dowel which you can spray paint any color you want. Make sure you bring one of the hooks with you to the store so you can make sure the dowel fits. Now screw the hooks into the wall at the appropriate width, leaving a little bit (maybe an inch or 2) hanging off the side from each hook. This will ensure your the rod won't fall off easily. Now the last step is to add your necklaces! Like the picture, you can space out the rods for the necklaces, making one for long necklaces and one for short. Hang your necklaces up and you will never have to deal with a tangled mess while your rushing to get ready again!
For bracelets I would suggest to do the same method for hanging as the necklaces. Bracelets, if put into storage containers, can looks a little messy, but the rod gets rid of that problem. For studs, although they don't show it here, I use a ring holder. One that is the rows of foam with the spaces in the middle to fit rings. This is a perfect place for your studs. You can keep them with their match, they stay neat and they're easily accessible.
This is a super cute, and cheap way to store all of your jewelry. This would look great over a low dresser and adds décor to the room. Who knew your cluttered jewelry could actually become wall art?! Hope this helps solve your lost earrings and tangled necklaces problems from this day forward!
Stay Girly! XOXO
