#TBT Trend: Parachute Pants

Time for another #TBT Trend

We all think parachute/harem pants are a super cute new trend, but think again. This style of pants was super popular in the 80's, better known as "MC Hammer Pants".

Although the prints and styling are now much, much better, we have the 80's to thank for these crazy pants.

I have a bunch of these pants, in both prints and solids, and absolutely love them. You can dress them up or down, and they are always comfortable. If you are a little reserved about rocking printed pants, you can go for a solid color, or a conservative print, but I'll step out in the most bold pants out there.

Style is all about expressing yourself, and let's be honest, we dress to look good for ourselves sometimes a bit more than to impress others (Am I right..?).
If you have had reservations about this trend, go out, get yourself a pair, and try it out!

The first look is a perfect outfit for a summer event. Printed pants, a simple lace tank, black wedges and jewels. Use this as a guide if you have trouble mixing up your wardrobe, or if you need inspiration for an outfit incorporating this trend.

Stay Funky! XOXO

The Best of the MET Gala

MET Gala? Yes please!

After scrolling through the many celeb looks last night, here are my favorite. These looks were all classy, perfect for the occasion and make each star shine   (and who doesn't love sparkles?)

Kate Hudson perfectly pulled off her beautiful gold Michael Kors dress last night. Her pairing of gold jewles and a messy bun, she combined style and elegance. MK did it again with this one!

Dakota Johnson took a different route on the traditional long ballgown look, and cut it short. Although her dress may be short, her style sure isn't. This Chanel dress took over the red carpet like a disco ball. Paired with a simple pair of heels and simple, bold makeup, Dakota Johnson definitely made her mark.

Last but not least, the QUEEN B was the best dressed there last night, and maybe ever. Look at that dress, it is phenomenal. Her Givency look was he perfect amount of sexy and class, paired with her high curly ponytail to add some sas. As per usual, she rocked it.

Again, here I am, wishing I was a celeb, so I could be blogged about in beautiful dresses rather than blogging about them. all three of these ladies made a statement last night, and I think we're the top 3 best dressed.

Let me know what you guys think!
