A Stylish Spring Break Awaits

To all of you lucky ladies going on Spring Break, here's some advice to look your best at the beach!

High-waisted and long lined bikinis are the new trend this swim season. 

Above are two featured looks, on the left a cute high waisted floral bikini with a strapless top, on the right is a boho chic long lined bikini with a bold print. 

Whichever look you're going for or whatever style looks best on your body type, you can rock the beach party wherever you'll be (just watch your tan lines)! 

While you're all sunning on a beautiful beach in your rockin' bikinis, I'll be frozen in New York, longing for warm weather and cute bikinis. 

I know all my fashionista followers are itching for Spring to come as much as me! 

We are all sick and tired of the boots and sweaters deal, and are MORE than ready for the pastels, flats and florals the spring and summer bring.

New Year, New You... Right?

"This is the year I will be braver, stronger, kinder, unstoppable. And this year I will be fierce." 

Happy New Year to all my fierce fashionable followers! 

I took a little trip away and haven't posted in a while, but I am back and better than ever!

I know many of us made these crazed new years resolutions that we all are trying to keep right now, and if you're still on track, good for you! 

Many people, including myself (for some, not all) fall of the bandwagon and slack back to their old ways, forgetting the strict resolution they previously set for themselves. 

Here is a reminder to STICK TO IT! Stick to your goals and remember to channel back to what you wanted when you made that resolution. Lifestyle changes and amping up yourself is a GOOD thing, and you can amp up your wardrobe while you're at it. 

Most, if not all, women make a resolution to lose weight or get in shape for the New Year. Take it from me, I know it is tough to stick with it, and many days you just want to quit. No matter what you look like, you are beautiful, but if you want to transform, go for it girl! And on the bright side, with a new and improved body, you can style it in many new ways! 

Since this IS a fashion blog, I need to add a little bit of sound fashionista advice. Many people believe in the "New Year, New You" mantra, and if that is your route, go big or go home! New you means new everything, and by everything I mean clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, jewelry & makeup. I could go on for days. If you are really striving for a new kind of yourself step out of your comfort zone in every way possible. 

One of the greatest ways to express yourself is through fashion. You can show the world who you are while strutting your stuff in your new attire. Go out and treat yourself to something new, or donate all your old clothes and re-vamp your "old-you" closet into something new and exciting.

Spice Up your UpDo!

Calling all DIY and hair enthusiasts! 

Here is a great way to turn a drab up-do into a fab hair creation!

All you need is a pack of bobbi pins, some craft-store necklace pearls (various sizes) and thin craft wire. 

The picture above shows you exactly how to make these cute hair accessories, but I'll share with you some of my tricks too! 

First, I would spray the end of the bobbi pin you're using with a bit of hairspray to give it a little stick. Then, pick the desired size pearl and thread about 4 inches of wire through the hole. Thread the bobbi pin with the same wire that the pearl is attached and begin to wrap the wire through the bobbi pin tightly. Continue wrapping tight until you feel that the pearl is secure in place and cut off the excess wire. Spray it once more with hairspray and let it sit for a while for the hairspray to set into all the cracks. VOILA, you have made your first fashionista Pearl-Bobbi! 

You can also do this with any other type of bead you like, but I usually stick with the pearls. Always a classic and they match with almost everything!
