Yesterday's Easter OOTD!

Yesterday's Easter OOTD!

A simple beige tank, paired with high waisted printed pants, a Banana Republic leather jacket and strappy Steve Madden wedges.

This is one of my favorite outfits for spring. With the jacket on or off, you're able to rock the look! These light weight, printed pants make a statement while keeping you comfortable. Since they're a bold print, it's best to pair with a simple top.

These wedges were the perfect addition to the outfit, and matched the color of the jacket perfectly. The cognac leather color is one of my favorites due to its versatility and style.

I topped this look off with a beige cross body bag and gold jewels to rock my Easter Sunday Style!

Boho-chic, Comfy and Happy!

TBT

You may or may not believe it, but ankle strap heels are a TBT for sure.

This used to be a big 90's trend and now they have made a comeback.
I know we all love these, they're simple, chic and fashionable.
If you don't have a pair, you should definitely go get some. They are a great heel to have for summer! Aldo has tons of variations if you're looking.

The nicer weather is coming!

After today's absolutely beautiful weather, I thought I should get you all up to speed on how to dress for the change of season.

Dressing between the frigid cold and sunny cool weather can be a challenge. Integrating spring colors into your winter wardrobe is not the easiest task but don't fret, I'm here to help!

Before you make the call on what to wear, make sure you look outside! If it's a sunny beautiful day, it will feel much different than the number on the thermometer, or same with a windchill.

My go-to change of season outfits are centered around thinner sweaters, tops with cardigans, jeans, lighter pants booties and flats. In this picture, the models wearing a light sweater, ankle pants and a plain pump. This is a perfectly simple outfit that allows you to dress for the bi-polar weather we're dealing with! (PS if it's still snowy and the ground is yucky with sand and salt, avoid wearing your nice shoes, they'll get ruined!)

We all struggle with dressing this time of year, but you'll be able to get through it. Start integrating lighter colors, springy jewels and cuter shoes to transition into sprig the right way.

New Year, New You... Right?

Free Fierce Printable Quote - Dwell Beautiful
"This is the year I will be braver, stronger, kinder, unstoppable. And this year I will be fierce."

Happy New Year to all my fierce fashionable followers!

I took a little trip away and haven't posted in a while, but I am back and better than ever!
I know many of us made these crazed new years resolutions that we all are trying to keep right now, and if you're still on track, good for you!
Many people, including myself (for some, not all) fall of the bandwagon and slack back to their old ways, forgetting the strict resolution they previously set for themselves.

Here is a reminder to STICK TO IT! Stick to your goals and remember to channel back to what you wanted when you made that resolution. Lifestyle changes and amping up yourself is a GOOD thing, and you can amp up your wardrobe while you're at it.

Most, if not all, women make a resolution to lose weight or get in shape for the New Year. Take it from me, I know it is tough to stick with it, and many days you just want to quit. No matter what you look like, you are beautiful, but if you want to transform, go for it girl! And on the bright side, with a new and improved body, you can style it in many new ways!

Since this IS a fashion blog, I need to add a little bit of sound fashionista advice. Many people believe in the "New Year, New You" mantra, and if that is your route, go big or go home! New you means new everything, and by everything I mean clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, jewelry & makeup. I could go on for days. If you are really striving for a new kind of yourself step out of your comfort zone in every way possible.

One of the greatest ways to express yourself is through fashion. You can show the world who you are while strutting your stuff in your new attire. Go out and treat yourself to something new, or donate all your old clothes and re-vamp your "old-you" closet into something new and exciting.

Hope this has inspired you to express yourself and embrace your inner fashionista!

BE BOLD!

The cold weather makes us all want to bundle up in our sweats and stay warm, but you always have to remember to let your inner fashionista take over. Be Bold while you brave the winter.

Mix and match all sorts of styles, prints, textures and colors this season.
The look above is a great example to start mixing your wardrobe up, while still keeping the look right. While taking on this new found boldness, you will be able to form new outfits from the clothes you had, and maybe you will even start to wear some of those things that just hang in your closet untouched.

Don't let the dreary weather make your fashion sense be dreary too.

Stay Bold! XOXO

No More Floppy Boots

DIY Boot Fillers!

Calling all riding boot lovers, here's a practical, simple and cheap fix for your boots!

Pool noodles are the perfect shape and size to fill your boots to keep them in great shape for as long as possible. All you have to do is but a few and cut them down to the size of your boots.

I've been using blow-up boot fillers and magazines, but this is definitely my new go-to fill. I know we all have those favorite pair of boots, so if you store them right they'll last forever.

Hope this helps all of the fashionistas that love their riding boots!

Stay Shapely! XOXO

RIP Oscar de la Renta

This blog post is a tribute to one of the most influential men in the fashion industry.

All of the fashionistas are shocked and saddened by the news that the amazing Oscar de la Renta has passed away.

Although he is not in this world with us any longer, his beautiful designs will live on and dominate the fashion world forever.

We will miss the new looks on the runway and celebs at all the yearly events, but his memory and style will always be present.

DIY Lace Trim Shorts

We all have a pair of shorts that we love, but hey just may be a liiiitle too short..
I'm here to show you the perfect solution that you can start working on now to make those not-so-appropriate shorts wearable this summer!

As shown above, all you need is a pair of shorts, some lace from your local fabric or craft store, a needle and thread, scissors and pins.

To start, pin the lace around the legs of the shorts, making sure it is the length you desire and even on both sides. After that has been done, start sewing your way around (I would recommend twice so that the lace is guaranteed to stay on) and now you have new and improved lace-trim shorts!

This DIY project will add a little spice to those plain shorts you once owned, and transform them into something fashionable!
